In 1776 Peter Stobbe, a native of one Dutch Mennonite family, began distilling a juniper spirit near Gdansk. Recipe secret, it is still kept secret by the family.
Today, Gin Stobbe 1776 combines the classic recipe with the pleasantly fruity notes of black currant and the delicate acidity of bergamot.

The Stobbe family was the first in Germany to use a steam still, to age white spirits in barrels and to design the design of their own bottles, when the concept of design did not yet exist.
