A challenge that encompasses all the biodiversity of Irpinia, told with fourteen native botanicals that give shape to a unique gin that encompasses the traditions, nature and aromas of a magical land.

The idea of Hirpus Gin comes from a long journey, behind which research is hidden, entire years spent behind a counter meeting people and interpreting their tastes. I could only start from the biodiversity of Irpinia. What inspired me was reading the verses of Virgil describing the Ansanto valley. My places full of worship and mythology.

This Gin takes its name from the fury of the winds that caress our coast every spring, filling the air with the heady scent of wild myrtle and juniper. Five botanicals manage to create a harmonious and powerful distillate, like a windy day.

All our botanicals are natural, derived from the hydroalcoholic infusion of the original dried botanicals.

Hirpus Gin is produced following the Distilled method. A base with Juniper berries, coriander seeds and Angelica root is distilled. The other botanicals are infused separately, based on their yield and delicacy, to then be filtered, balanced and added to the recipe according to the desired result.

“There is a place in the middle of Italy under high mountains, noble and celebrated for fame in many districts,
the valley of ansanto: this place is closed
on both sides by black wooded slopes
And in the middle a roaring stream makes noise
For the stones and for the winding vortex.

“Here we see a horrible cave and the cracks of the implacable dite, and from the torn acheron
A great abyss opens its pestiferous jaws;
Here threw himself the hateful god of believing and frightening Erinyes

And he disgraced earth and sky."
