In the eleventh century a group of Italian monks began to infuse juniper berries in alcohol for the first time to create a liqueur with a medicinal function. This is how gin was born, right along the Amalfi coast. Inspired by this story, Gin Malfy honors the origins of this distillate by proposing a gin that combines tradition, quality and innovation in a unique product able to tell the Italian lifestyle in the world.
Sicilian blood oranges are harvested in November. Their rinds are dipped in alcohol and pressed, then the infusion is mixed with the juniper and other botanicals before distillation vacuum still in stainless steel. On the nose we therefore find a mix between the bitter and the sweet citrus of orange that delicately enriches the olfactory perception of the product and makes it complex and delicate at the same time. On the palate the explosion of orange blossoms is striking, accompanied in the finish by a delicate note of juniper.
