The composition of Sinister Gin derives from a recipe handed down by the family for a drink used during sabbatical rites, destined to create a state of ecstasy not unlike the altered states sought by modern shamans.
Legend has it that in the fifteenth century some figures of the family had replaced a juniper produced by friars of a local monastery with the drink, creating a situation of collective choreomania not unlike phenomena such as tarantism.
