VIDA de San Luis Del Rio® is an artisanal organic Mezcal from Del Maguey. Easily mixable, it anticipated a highly requested and highly recognized category in the world of bartenders.
Made by hand, it is distilled very slowly twice in small copper stills positioned along the river and fueled by wood to give those aromas that underline its versatility in cocktails.
Tasting Notes: Hints of fruit aromas, a hint of honey, vanilla and roasted agave; on the palate it is easy to recognize ginger, cinnamon, burnt sandalwood, banana and mandarin, with a long and soft finish. Long live VIDA!
Ron Cooper, an American artist, founded the Del Maguey Single Village distillery in 1995 with the aim of making authentic and artisanal mezcal known to the world. Thanks to the strong relationship established with indigenous Mexican communities in the Oaxaca and Puebla region, Del Maguey protects and preserves the ancient production processes passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years. These traditional methodologies, combined with Mexico's diverse microclimates and terroir, give each product a unique and complex character that celebrates the art of the family producer.
