The recipe for Gin Ferdinando De Cinque was created in the years of the First World War by the homonymous character, notary and scholar of the time, to warm the spirits during the hard years of the war. Today his descendants, producers of spirits in the province of Bologna, have found his secret notes and reproduced this herbaceous and balsamic gin. The herbs, all Italian, give the fresh notes, while the flowers make it dry and versatile in mixing. With a pleasant persistence, it is also very pleasant even smooth.
Each bottle has a different back label (seven in total) with quotes from Ferdinando De Cinque's collection of poems and short stories from the name Skeletons, dogs, wolves and water lilies, published in 1944. There is also a hole on the front of the label where you can see through the product the painting that served as the cover in the original edition of the book.
