Gin Raw was born from the idea of two entrepreneurs and friends who wanted to create a gin that was up to the gourmet standards of Barcelona. For this reason it was designed to give the best neat or with ice, in gin and tonic, as a base in cocktails and especially in the pairings gastronomic and sophisticated culinary creations. Four experts were involved in the realization of the “true spirit of Barcelona”: a chef, Xano Saguer, a sommelier, Sergi Figueras, a barman, Javier Caballero, and a perfumer, Rosendo Mateu.
Gin Raw is produced in small batches of 5.000 bottles using a particular technique that includes classic distillation and the use of a cooking Rotavap. The result is a full-bodied gin, characterized by floral and spicy notes with a subtle nuance of smoke. Freshness and warmth coexist with a balsamic background, characteristic of juniper. The finish is long and pleasant.
The packaging is rich in details: the body of the bottle has a satin effect, reminiscent of the low temperature, characteristic of the distillation process of this GinRaw. The cap is made of ash wood completed by an aluminum sphere. The ocher color recalls the Mediterranean sun.
