All the botanicals used are grown, harvested and dried manually before infusion into the base alcohol at The Secret Herb Garden in the hills outside Edinburgh. The infusion of the flowers after distillation is what gives the gin the blue color and causes it to become as if by magic (but it's all science!) Lilac in contact with the tonic water.
On the nose and on the palate Old Curiosity Lavender & Echinacea Secret Garden Gin is decidedly floral, scented like a potpourri, with a slight spicy hint of pepper.
