The elegant bottle of X-Gin reads "Cocoa nectar, pure aphrodisiac, gin for queens, gods and kings". This distillate in fact takes inspiration from a legend that dates back to the time of the Maya and the Incas. A time of death and sacrifices to the gods whose thirst always had to be quenched; for this reason the kings and queens ordered that a nectar be created for the gods. This secret recipe containing some cocoa was called "Xocoatl", a drink intended only for kings, queens and gods, bearer of the gifts of long life, intelligence and passion. Xocoatl was the first aphrodisiac in the world and X-Gin was born from it.
X-Gin, born in 2015, is produced by Xolato in collaboration with the pastry chef and master chocolatier Peter Messely. In fact, among the botanicals we find typical ingredients of the chocolate shop: in addition to cocoa beans, almonds, hazelnuts, vanilla and even chilli are infused, which gives that extra aphrodisiac touch to the product.
