Aging for 15 years gives the rum its vanilla notes, typical of American oak, and its intense amber color. Fruity notes leave room for spicy scents and a clear note of tobacco. The peculiarity of Isla Coiba 15 años is given by the marine pungency that recalls the scent of the shore, which is released in all its pleasant intensity by adding a few drops of water to the rum. The nose is enriched by hints of chocolate given by the refinement. The soft and intense taste is balanced by a dry note that goes well with vanilla and chocolate hints.
The marine touch recalls the origins of this rum, a pure Panamanian essence of the highest quality since the origins of the distillery, founded in 1908 by Don Juan Ramirez on the most remote island of Panama, Coiba.
