It would be more correct to call them pink berries because they are the fruit of a small evergreen tree (Schinius molle) native to Peru, Chile and Bolivia. They have a slightly spicy taste with fruity and floral notes and a slight spiciness with resinous notes on the finish. Due to its delicacy it lends itself very well both to use in the kitchen and to decorate cocktails.
