Malamore Gin is the fruit of the creative mind of an illustrator-printer as much dedicated to art as passionate about gin, @ Lara.Leru.Ottaviani. Malamore was born from the most common human experience: the amorous breakup: the artist decided to face the situation in an original way, creating a gin as an antidote to this unfortunate period. Inspired by the song “la Jardinera” by Violeta Parra, she has created an ironic recipe where each botanical has its own meaning and represents the phases of the break at the recovery.
The herbaceous notes of green tea and the balsamic nature of sage, almost like a love that leaves no way out, are balanced by the natural softness of the infusion of chamomile flowers. In contrast, the warmth of ginger and black pepper give a very pleasant finish full of emotional tenderness.
The label illustration is made using the linocut technique. The sharp blades of the gouges, tools used to craft the matrix, are perfect representatives of that feeling of a demon devouring your heart.
