Jin Q Old Tom Gin

Jin Q Old Tom Gin was created by Mistico Speziale for Jigger Spiriti e Cucina, a renowned bar and restaurant in Reggio Emilia. It refers to the figure of Doctor Q, Reggio's version of Cesare Lombroso, a medical supporter of the theory that facial features and the shape of the head influence criminal behavior and who has developed an elixir capable of curing some mental illnesses. Jin Q. Le is therefore inspired by this elixir botanicals they come from the Reggio area and are juniper, bergamot, lemon, orange, coriander, valdostana mint, salvia officinalis, lavender, fennel, orange blossom. On the nose the notes of juniper and bergamot prevail, while on the palate the herbaceous hints of sage, mint and lavender emerge, giving a fresh and balsamic finish perfectly balanced. The slight sugar addition brings a roundness to the sip that gives harmony between all the flavors and complexity at the same time. Interesting in mixing and pleasant even in a straight drink.
