From the creative mind of Roby Marton comes Tonka Gin, a unique distillate for many reasons. First of all, the distillation technique, according to Marton, is unique in the world. The botanicals, personally selected by Marton, are distilled separately with cold infusion and among these we find the Tonka bean, that is the seed of a plant from South America with a flavor similar to vanilla but less sweet. Gin has a cloudy appearance because it is not filtered and is defined as "vintage" because the ingredients, being natural, can vary according to the climate of the year and therefore each batch can have slightly different organoleptic characteristics.
Like any classic gin, in Tonka Gin the notes of juniper prevail both on the nose and on the palate, but always accompanied by those similar to vanilla, but more complex, of the Tonka bean. The strong and complex taste and the particular aroma suggest the presence of citrus fruits and spices that balance the distillate in a harmonious way, which in fact remains soft. This is one of the few gins that really fit very well to be drunk straight, perhaps accompanied by a good cigar.
