Federation Gin was born from a collaboration between McHenry Distillery, which is located in an unspoiled area of Tasmania, and the Australian Parliament House which wanted to create a gin to be exported to the world and which contained the essence of Australia. They have therefore created a gin characterized by the purest spring water of the island and native botanicals that make it unique.
Federation Gin is soft and clean, with its particular notes of cinnamon myrtle and pine notes given by Top Pine celery, which supports the taste of (Italian) juniper. The spiciness is given by the mountain pepper leaves and the Australian acacia seeds, while in the long finish the pleasant and sweet sensation of the Kakadu plum and the Quandong, a native Australian peach, remains. Lemon myrtle releases intense citrus notes, made even fresher by the balsamic notes of Strawberry Gum. With good reason it can be defined as “Australia in a bottle”.
